I wholeheartedly recommend the ADRC. The specific one, in Baraboo, Wisconsin has been invaluable to me. The two areas I have experience with is transportation and case management. As for transportation, two people in particular, Stacy and Tom, go above and beyond to assist me with my transport needs. I have a lot of medical appointments, usually known well in advance, and I don't remember the last time they couldn't accommodate me. I am using a wheelchair, and every driver I've had the pleasure of working with, has been wonderfully polite, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Recently, I found out I had a death in my family, while in the van ride home! The driver provided an empathetic ear, allowing me to just talk, and provided discretion, when I had to call others on the phone, when on the ride. I believe that the ADRC, is by far, the best agency in the country, that helps, people of disabilities and the aged. To mention the case management area, in particular Hannah, she assisted me in finding a care provider for my disability. She was professional, sympathetic, and wonderfully kind. I wouldn't have had such great care after my major surgery if it wasn't for her. She couldn't tell me her opinion on what agency to choose for my long term care, but she actually read the reviews of the top two agencies in the area, which allowed me to make an informed decision. And, it couldn't have worked out better! The ADRC is wonderful. I recommend exploring this venue for all that they can offer you. Thank you ADRC!!!
