My 3 year old parakeet went in last week with all sorts of symptoms the most concerning one being she was dangerously underweight. We went to vca worried about some problems that her primary wouldn't have the resources to look into. We went in and recommended all these treatments that we couldn't afford that definitely would have helped (but they made it sound like she needed these treatments or she was going to die), the vets bedside manner was horrible she was basically accusing me of abusing my bird and was just trying to explain to me all these basic diet things most of which I have already tried in the past, not to mention that the issue ended up being a simple respiratory infection that all she needed were some antibiotics. Granted there might be more to her case but either way the vet we had missed some very obvious things and was very rude throughout the appointment.

I had to take my cat Willow there recently because of sudden severe urinary issues, including difficulty urinating and blood in her urine. She has a history of bladder stones and the symptoms she was experiencing were identical to the symptoms she had 9 years ago when she had the emergency bladder surgery. Everyone from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctor were extremely professional, compassionate, and thorough. Dr. Fisher took the time to review Willow's history, which I had e-mailed to them that morning, before she examined her. Based on her history, she did an ultrasound to check for stones. Thankfully, there were none. Willow was then treated for a bladder infection with antibiotics, pain meds, and anti-spasm meds. I had a question about Willow's response to the meds after I got home and my phone call to Dr. Fisher was responded to promptly. I was very pleased with the care Willow received there during her emergency visit.
