We went with another couple for Sunday brunch. Service and food were very prompt. The lighting is rather dim - had to use my phone light to read the menu. Smallish menu, which is fine. We started with the grilled brussel sprouts, which were delicious but a bit underdone. We told our server and she offered to replace them, but we opted instead for steak knives to cut them. My wife had the Grilled Duck with cauliflower pure / roasted carrots / jerk honey / cherry chutney. I had the WILD BOAR BOLOGNESE with cavatelli pasta / tomato / fried buratta. It was very good, slightly spicy, pasta not overdone. We shared the warm brownie with caramel which was good as well. This is a nice restaurant, we will be back, but it is not up to a 5 star place.

A phenomenal meal, elevated and thoughtful comfort food with amazing service. I cant wait to come back!

We parked at one end of Hudson and walked the main strip looking for a new place to eat. We stumbled on Black Rooster , and it called to us. There's a steep flight of stairs leading you into the cool cave like atmosphere of the place. We had wine and smoked old fashioneds (yum) to start. We had the pan-roasted chicken breast and seared sea scallops, which were both amazing. The menu rotates, so who knows what we'll get next time (and there will be a next time). Parking: There are pay parking lots all along the main strip (pay only during specific hours).
