I contacted them to put a ceiling in a basement bathroom that was just joists. They drywalled the ceiling and painted the bathroom. They were very responsive and were able to start work very quickly. He originally said it would take 2 to 3 days, but at the end of the first day, he said he was done. He gave me a $200 discount for paying in cash and there was no written estimate or invoice, which seemed suspicious to me. The drywall looked good, but the paint job really needed another coat - there were a lot of missed spots. He also used flat paint, which seems dumb for a bathroom - I ended up having to put on another coat of paint to cover all the missed spots and get a semi-gloss finish. They also left a huge mess. There was a big clump of drywall mud stuck to the wall, and chunks of drywall left in the shower stall. As he was leaving, he told me just to mop the floor. The floor was filthy in the bathroom and the basement outside the bathroom, with drywall dust ground into the texture of the flooring, and there was drywall dust in little piles in the corners. I spent several hours getting it all cleaned. I don't know how his cost compares to others, but it was fairly sloppy work. In response to his comment: the missed painting spots and chunks of drywall and drywall mud, I didn't notice until after he left and the paint had dried (the mud was behind the toilet, and the drywall chunks were in the shower stall). It is definitely on me that I didn't insist on doing a more thorough inspection, but I didn't think I'd need to check for big globs of drywall mud and chunks of drywall. He didn't ask if it was okay to leave all the mess, just told me I'd have to mop it. He may have mentioned the 1-year guarantee; I don't remember. But, without anything at all in writing, a verbal guarantee is pretty meaningless. I appreciate his offer to come back and correct things, but I've already done it myself at this point.

I hired ugalde for a very last minute project I needed done for a small business I opened up in Madison and these guys delivered better than I could have hoped. Got me into their tight schedule and finished painting all within the very short period of time we had to work with. 10/10 would recommend

Sergio was incredibly responsive, kind and professional. They did a great job of painting my living room (it looks great)...and protected the floor and furniture as well. They worked to fit me in on my tight timeline as well. Highly recommend! Service: Interior painting
