        I find it odd that around 90% of tech and computer repair places have absolutely terrible web sites. You'd think of all the businesses on the planet these people would have the best websites, but unfortunately not.

        I bought a refurbished computer from North American computer, 6 months ago, for $100 and its not working at all. I cant even get it to come on. I brought it down to them and they are not willing to even look at it for less than $160. Dont waste your time. A new computer would be cheaper.

        Hi Katie. My apologies for any confusion.I checked our records and we do not have a record of selling you a used computer. Based on your statement I do remember we did have a conversation regarding your used computer which was purchased elsewhere not turning on. When power issues are presented as "having to hold the cord in just the right position to get power" 99% of the time the fix requires disassembly of the laptop and replacing the DC jack. Based on our past experiences we inform customers upfront that the average repair cost to replace the DC jack is $160 for parts and labor.This allows them to make an informed decision without needing to pay a $50 diagnostic estimate if they request a diagnostic estimate and decide not to fix the laptop.I suggested the repair may not be worth it after you told me you purchased the laptop for $100. I also suggested you may want to contact whomever you purchased the used laptop from to see if they would be willing to help. Best regards, Ryan
