We were so happy with the music at our wedding! From set up to take down Amanda was amazing! She did an excellent job with gorgeous music for our ceremony, good vibes at cocktail hour, a fun grand march, and a perfect dance party! Everyone we worked with at Midwest Sound was super helpful and kind! We were thrilled to be paired with Amanda as she kept everything easy for us and let our wedding be worry free!! Highly highly recommend!!!

Hired for Mothers Celebration of LIfe Ceremony (a formal event) per a recommendation. Obviously, considering the nature of the event, I wanted everything to go to plan which is why I decided to endure the $650 price tag. I was told they were good and used for weddings, etc. At the event, a different DJ showed up than the one I talked to on the phone. I was told my original DJ called in last minute and they assigned me a replacement. Besides the DJ running around in her socks and literally skipping across the dance floor, after dinner she would ask what should I play every 15 minutes. I spent time uploading songs and a description of what to play on their online portal the week before. Play these 45 songs and then popular 60s, 70s, 80s.pretty wide criteria. Totally unprofessional; I felt slighted as they just gave me whatever person they had as if this event wasnt important enough to take seriously. I called the office a couple days later, had an empathetic response and was assured the owner would return my call a week later. Also, note I was respectful to both the DJ and the office personnel whom answered the phone. The owner emailed me a week later, I responded advising of my open availability to receive his call and then never heard from him again. The DJ was the first problem, but then ignoring me after was the largest issue all for $650.

This is a company where you get what you pay for. They were the cheapest one we got a quote for, and we decided this would be a good budget saver for us. Our DJ was just ok. He contributed to the biggest failure of our wedding. We provided our own projector and a video with audio to be played during my father-daughter dance. We tested the equipment the day before the wedding and everything worked fine. We made it very clear to our DJ that this video was one of the most important parts of our reception. I noted that in writing on the client portal, in email with the owner of the company, and I discussed it on the phone with our DJ. I asked that he test the video and audio once he plugged in our equipment since we'd be off site at our ceremony and he was setting up at the reception hall prior to cocktail hour. When it came time for my father-daughter dance, the projector wasn't connected to audio and the DJ couldn't figure out how to do it from his end. He was handing cords to my husband and telling him to figure it out. He never did get it working correctly. My husband ended up holding my laptop with the audio cord plugged in and people could hear the video but they couldn't hardly see it since it wasn't being played on the giant projector screen we had set up. Besides that incredibly stressful incident, the rest of our wedding went smoothly. I don't think he had a particularly hard job to do because I was diligent in adding lots of songs to our client portal that we wanted played, so it's not like he had to pick them himself. He stuck to that list of songs we had pre-picked and kept the dance floor bumping that night. Ultimately, it was more important to save money on our DJ than pay for the best one in the industry. I wish our projector video would have turned out as planned and it's disappointing that it failed so badly. However, I think if you want a DJ service without customized moments such as that one, this would be a good choice to have good music and save a few bucks in the process.
