Going to the lady dr is never fun. In fact, its one of my least favorite things to do. But this was such a calming experience. Absolute 10/10 will come here from now on. I was so nervous for my yearly appt (because its painful and scary!!!!). Im a long time Planned Parenthood patient. And Ive been to multiple different locations over many many years. This is my first time coming to the Waukesha location and it was probably my best experience thus far. Nurse Lauren and Dr. Laura (cant remember her last name?) were so kind. They answered all the questions that I had with patience and confidence. The procedures ive had in the past that normally caused a lot of pain and discomfort Were over extremely quickly and with virtually no pain. I stand with Planned Parenthood and their mission. All people deserve access to healthcare. Thank you guys for all the amazing work you do!!!!!!!

Absolutely ridiculous that they no longer do ultrasounds for pregnancy. Only do it if you are getting an abortion.

I decided to go here to get a new IUD since mine was expired and my doctor was booked out for a few months. I was told by multiple staff members that it was okay if I brought my partner in with me, but she would have to wait in the waiting room while they asked some questions first. I was okay with that, and after the MA asked questions I was told he was going to get her to bring her back. However, this did not and I asked the provider about it. She immediately got angry at me and said that she had no idea why anyone would tell me that my partner would be allowed back with me, that it was an inconvenience to her, and that just wasnt anything she would ever allow. I also asked if any sort of numbing was used, and she again seemed very angry at me and told me that IUD removal and placement is a painless process and numbing isnt needed. I was shocked by the lack of compassion from this provider. I ended up deciding mid appointment that I did not want her to place the new IUD as I did not feel safe or respected. I am not sure if she treats every patient like this, but I suspect it could have been because I am gay. Maybe others have had different experiences, but I certainly would not recommend planned parenthood in Waukesha for anybody of the LGBTQ community.
