Waukesha county park pass needed. Really great park with many things to do.

Great place for your dog to release pent up energy. But as a gentle reminder, this is a park with A LOT of trees. Bring your insect repellent!

Great beer garden right along the beach/pond and music, mature trees and umbrellas made for nice ambiance. Easy to get an entrance/parking permit same day, online for $6. Plenty of clean picnic tables and able to bring in own food, water, soda. There were 8 of us and a good time was had by all. The park rangers drove thru a few times and we felt safe and unbothered by them. Restrooms: Real flushing toilets! Dog-friendliness: Most dogs were on leash but a few fetched balls/sticks out of the pond and stayed close to their owners. All dogs were friendly and well-behaved. My little pup is normally nervous but all dogs, even the big ones, were approachable. Picnic area: Clean tables were plentiful with umbrellas in the beer garden and more under mature trees or in full sun if desired.
