        I was about to give up on the Holiday Inn hotels, as they stink so bad and are never renovated, but this one was legit and didn't smell like mold or like grandma's antique belongings or house. Water pressure was nice, breakfast was excellent. The refillable soaps in the shower need to be replaced. They probably refill them but the old stinky soap on the bottom ruins it and it stinks so yucky. I hate this new system, go back to the individual little samples.

        I booked a king room but was put in a 2 queen without explanation why. There were no trash bags in the trash cans. The 1st bed I tried to get in had stuff all over the sheets. So I switched to the other that was clean. There was banging and crashing until 330am not sure what was going on. Breakfast was good. I was going to tell the front desk everything but the maids were up there just talking and even the lady at the desk said they were gabbing to much. Forgot to take pictures this trip.

        We stay the night on our way to Mt. Rushmore, not crowded and very quiet. There is a train running middle of the night but you can barely hear it. Pros: Updated rooms, new furniture and very comfortable bed! Cons: The breakfast lady is very nice but she needs some help several food and drink items are empty and need to be restocked such as coffee, hot water, pancakes and bagels. Rooms: Updated rooms with new furniture

        The 2 ladies working the front desk were very nice. They allowed me to check in a little early which was nice. However, I dont understand why they put me directly across from the elevator when my preferences simply state otherwise. The TV in my room was very erratic in video and audio. It was pretty much useless. The TV signal in the breakfast area was the same. The shower water pressure was about the worst I have ever experienced.
