We visited this quaint little city last summer and a police officer stopped and asked if we would like a picture. He also gave us some history about the castles that were built there, wherever we went that day, the psople were friendly. The city is so cool with the castles that decorate this little town. Just loved it!!

In 1988 we went to Ida Grove to see the RC Airshow. It was held on the grounds of Lake LeJune. It was amazing. We have carried those memories with us for all of these year . We decided to go on a road trip from Sioux Falls SD to visit again today. I cannot say how severely disappointed we were. No walking park around the grounds. Nothing. The town is just a sad, decrepit little town now. Those grounds could have been developed into an amazing place.
When we were there you could stand and look at the swan's on the lake with a full view of the castle. Now it's "no trespassing" signs everywhere. Such a shameful thing to "tote" Ida Grove up with still today. Shame on Ida Grove.
