LeafFilter Gutter Protection

We had an awful experience with a sales representative from LeafFilter named DF. From the moment DF arrived at hour house, he appeared to be extremely friendly, chatting about anything but the main purpose of his visit - assessing our problems with the gutter and providing us with a solution and an estimate. He even showed us how he did hot yoga in our dining room. We tried numerous times to redirect the conversation to our gutter needs, but DF seemed to show little interest. This was particularly frustrating as we had specifically called him over to provide a quote for our gutters. After we finally managed to draw his attention back to gutter, DF shocked us with his inspection practices. He used something like a stick with two wheels and rolled it alongside the house in our back yard, taking a few pictures from the distance. He didnt even go up on the roof or use any specialized equipment to properly access the gutter condition. Despite this limited assessment, he abruptly informed us that our existing gutter was sufficient, and we only needed to change the downspouts and add LeafFilter over the existing gutter. When DF returned to our house, he brought along a massive A4 folder and proceeded to talk extensively about the supposed VALUE his product would add to our home. He spent a whopping 1 hour and 20 minutes discussing the companys multi-billion-dollar business and their extravagant presentation, all without even showing us the actual product the gutter and guard. Felling increasingly frustrated, I finally asked DF to present the product and provide a price. To my surprise, DF refused and claimed that without me listening to his lengthy presentation, I would not be able to understand the value of their product could bring to our house. He even questioned my interest in simply knowing the product and price, accusing me of planning to compare it with other options. After I told him that we had other commitments for the evening, DF suddenly became unsettled and intimidated. He closed his eyes, took deep breaths, and then abruptly excused himself to make phone calls. DFs sudden anger and condescending attitude were completely unwarranted. This behavior left me feeling anxious and uneasy, even with my husband present in another room. Upon DF's return, he accused me of being rude for not attentively listening to his extensive presentation, which he emphasized had cost his multibillion-dollar corporation a considerable amount of money. He went as far as to question whether I even qualified to have a LeafFilter installed. I was gob-smacked by DFs behaviours. We just want to have new gutters with filters to replace existing old ones. It should be a simple and straightforward process, but DF spent over an hour in our house without demonstrating the product or providing any price information. His behavior was intimidating and unprofessional, his approach made the whole process sounds extremely complicated and miserable for us.

I could not recommend this company based on the "used car sales" approach. The representative talked over me, did not fully answer my questions and after an hour of trying to get a price (he did a lot of measuring) he still had to be told that he had 10 minutes to provide a price and the it was $14,000+ dollars. There is no way the number of positive comments could have paid that much for the system and ONLY that system as the gutters were fine but needed cleaning. I told him my price expectation and he said what he gave me was lower then the cost which made no sense. But he said he would talk to his boss. I stopped it there, because I had already recognized the sleazy sales approach from having experienced a similar technique from a car sales. The salesperson left us and after 10 minute we were driving away with the sales guy and manager running after us. You get one chance to provide an honest proposal, not several. I found the experience to be off-putting. Oh, and the salesman said he was not in sales but a consultant or some such term which meant he was lying at the very beginning. I will find someone else who can give a single honest presentation and quote. Beware of the tactics of the approach used.
