Im currently renting my house through Five Star and the owner of the property is selling it and it is listed through Camile Thomsen of Gate City Reality. I would very very strongly urge you to never by a home from this woman!!! This has been the most difficult and stressful situation Ive ever had to deal with. There are plenty of issues I have with Five Star over this mess but the issues Ive had with this realtor go beyond this. I had asked her for one showing not to be scheduled on a Saturday because I work a lot, I am in school full-time, and Im pregnant so I really wanted to sit home like a sloth and nap all day and she agreed to this after quite the argument of telling me it would probably cause the house not to sell. Next I told her after the showings, the door to my shed was left opened and unlocked (my shed containing a ton of expensive toys and tools) and she apologized and said it would be taken care of. I texted her the following week stating the door was left open again and she said the latch is broken and would be fixed (its not broken because Im able to latch it and lock it). She then proceeded to tell me that stuff is only in there because my boyfriend is living there without being on the lease through Five Star (which affects her in no way) and its his property and he is not paying the owner a storage fee so it doesnt matter. She also told me she knows this because she ran the vin and tags on those machines (none of the machines have tags or plates). And then she reported me to Five Star where they came out and inspected my house for occupancy and did not find any issues but proceeded to cite me for not mowing the lawn which is stated in my lease that management is responsible for this maintenance item. Ive never dealt with such an angry person before that has no reason to be so hateful towards me and I can only imagine what experiences other people have had!

I reached out to John and Kent over a year ago when I was living out of state. My husband and I were looking to move back home but we were so far away we did not know what the process was going to look like. How do you go about finding and purchasing a home when you are miles and miles away? John and Kent made it happen. The entire process went smoothly even though my husband and I were never once present. We did everything over facetime, emails, etc. The first time I actually met John and Kent was at the title company on signing day. That wouldnt have been possible if it werent for John and Kents great communication skills and work ethic. Over a year later and my husband and I are still in love with our house. We couldnt be more appreciative for John and Kent at Gate city real estate. I highly recommend the people at Gate city real estate and cannot thank you guys enough!
