Stay clear of this mortgage company if it involves anything with Meg Hicks. We lost our contract on a condo that was for sale by owner due to her lack of communication and not returning phone calls, oh and buyer had already let us move somethings in because we were due to close with in a few weeks, only to move everything right back out because seller of condo was not informed of anything and Meg wouldn't return her calls. Seller went with another buyer.. Very unprofessional. Luckily we went with South Point Bank and was able to find another condo in same location and closed with in a month.. I wouldn't even give her one star..

In dealing with Will on my transaction as the seller, I found him to be highly unprofessional and non transparent throughout the entire transaction. He was unable to close on time having to ask for two extensions. They did not pull the elevation report delaying closing. He stated that the appraiser called items and did not provide a picture of what was called yet expected me to pay for repairs without documentation. When questioned he stated that “transparency is what you get in California where the liberals are” Which solidified his un professionalism. A lesson Will should learn, when it’s the customers money, it’s the customers business. Transparency and honesty is what builds cohesive working relationships. Will doesn’t take responsibility for his mistakes when he drops the ball. Beware Will responded to this review on FB

Meg was not great. She was great in the beginning but then slowly became very terrible to work with. She put things off and then also liked to say that certain things were our errors instead of her own. My real estate agent says they won’t even recommend her anymore. I’ve waited over TWO AND A HALF months to close on a home I now don’t get to own. One star simply because other Movement lenders may be better than Meg. Plus, the option for Zero stars is unavailable. Do yourself a favor and get a lender who CARES. Someone who will follow up with you when things are going well rather than just when they’re not. I heard more from her when the “whammies” kept coming up than I did with just follow-up for good reports. Terrible. I don’t wish that kind of dragging along to my worst enemy.

I would not recommend this company to anyone who is interested in purchasing a home. The preferred lender representing the company, Meg Hicks, was not my favorite to work with. She was very attentive to our needs in the beginning phase of the application process, but then she slowly became harder to get in contact with when my husband, my realtor and I had questions or concerns. My husband and I were first time home buyers, therefore we had tons of questions about this process to get an understanding. We were told one thing in the beginning of the application process, later on, while in underwriting, we were told something totally different, which caused a huge problem with closing. This information should have been given to us up front initially, verses a week before the anticipated closing date. Meg called us 2 days before the “closing date” and stated the second route she advised us to take to didn’t work. She also stated she would send over information via email the next morning, which I have yet to receive. I have years of banking and processing experience, I am fully aware that certain rules do not just change within a few weeks of a application process. This was something she should have known about prior to, but overlooked. This was very unprofessional and inconsiderate knowing our situation and deadlines we had to meet. My realtor is very big in our area, and she has also advised many of her clients and other realtors she deals with to not work with Meg. She was very bad at communicating information back to her as well. However, I am glad to say we have all moved on to another lender who has helped get us our dream home. I would not want anyone else to experience what we have gone through with Meg.
