Jake and his team of hygienists always make me comfortable through the cleaning and make sure Im pain free during procedures. The more I go the less time I spend with them!!!! That tells me its working. If you have to go to the dentist go see Jake and Carter.

I cannot say enough kind words regarding Dr. Karter Smith and the rest of the team. They are gentle, kind and respectful. I recommend highly. I would give more stars if allowed.

Wow, i've never been treated with such disrespect. These are text messages between me and Dr. Noel's office manager Krystal. Very, very disappointing given that I've been a patient since 2004.
Nichole, This is Krystal, Dr. Noels office manager. I just wanted to clear up a couple of things. After listening to your phone call with my front desk. You were very hostile from the beginning of the phone call which explains the response you were given. First, you were not here with your husband and step son to even assume what time they arrived. Second, I was the person sitting up front on the phone. My front desk was checking out a patient. I was on the phone for 10 seconds after they arrived at 10:16am. We were not rude, in fact, your family has a history of being rude per our notes on every occasion of your families interaction with us. I explained to your husband and step son as to why would not be able to see them. We have appointment times for a reason. If they were running behind, they could have called and let us know and we could have told them our policy but we didn't receive that courtesy. We believe it's best as well for your family not to return to our office and to find one that is better suited for your needs. Please let us know where to send your records, all upcoming appointments have been canceled. Thanks.
me: Do you not have a patient portal where patients can go and get their own records? there should be this capability because by federal law patients should have access to their own medical electronic records and should still be able to access them.
Krystal: We do not legally have to offer an online portal, we are a small business. You do have rights to your health records, but we are also allowed to charge for printing those for patients. Paper cost money, and so do the ink cartridges. Electronically we can send them to another dental office for no charge. Thanks!
Krystal: RIGHT!!!! WE ARE STILL ALLOWED TO CHARGE FOR PRINTING THEM!!! If you fully read the information in that link, we do NOT have to give them for FREE. Again, printing (ink, paper, postage) costs us money and that fee gets passed on to the patient if paper copies are requested. If you were to request hospital records YOU HAVE TO PAY i.e Huntsville Hospital. This is not just a rule we made up. You are still trying to argue and im not sure what different result you're wanting. Also that article does NOT state we have to have an online portal, it just states we are not allowed to refuse to give you the records...and we are not refusing to give them to you. If you would like to pay for your records I will gladly have those for you We are not going back and forth about the matter anymore. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Me: I'm not requesting paper. I'm asking for electronic and her this law. It states that if you can't provide me an electronic record, then you have to do something comparable, but I should not have to pay

Dentist and dental assistant are just fine. Have been going here for over a decade since before the practice was handed over. Unfortunately the customer service not related to the dental work itself (front desk) has gotten so bad that the entire family is going elsewhere. Customer service, respect and manners have apparently taken a back burner. 4 stars for dentist and dental assistants, zero stars for customer service and front desk, so two star average.
