        Awesome guided fishing and mostly limit out every day (weather permitting). Salmon, halibut, ling cod, black rockfish (ocean perch).

        This was by far the best Alaskan fishing that we have ever had. The staff was fantastic, Dave and his team do a fabulous job taking care of the guests. The food was excellent. Bella the morning chef was alway friendly and welcoming even at such an early hour. The evening chef and wait staff were great. Megan and her brother, the fish cleaners were very personable and shared secrets on how to fillet the many fish that we had. Our guide, Dave was great and worked very hard in finding fish and making sure that we had our limit. We limited out each day except the last, falling one Salmon short. I hope to be back soon.

        We LOVED our stay at the Shelter Cove Lodge! The fishing eas great. We got our limit of king salmon and halibut every day. Our guide Dave had been at the lodge for many years as had many of the guides. That should tell you a bit about how the owners treat their staff. The rooms were very nice. the dining room and reading rooms were super comfortable. We saw tons of eagles, humpback whales, sea otters, deer, sea lions, and seals. One pod of whales blew bubbles and rose right next to our boat to feed on herring. The food was great with 6 choices for entry’s every night. The owners and staff were sincerely interested in making sure we were comfortable and having the best time possible. My parents are 78 and they really looked out for them. We are already planning out next trip here!

      Shelter Cove Lodge is located in Craig, Alaska on the west coast of Prince of Wales Island. This coveted Southeast Alaska fishing destination is reached by taking one of the shortest flights from Seattle to any Alaska Lodge. Guests of our Southeast Alaska fishing lodge reach Shelter Cove in a matter of hours. Reduced flight time means your ten-hour fishing days do not overlap travel, making for a far more relaxed and productive Alaska fishing trip.

      Upon arrival at Shelter Cove Lodge, you will be treated to a modern, spacious room with every amenity included. Your living space will feature two quality beds, a large private bath, microwave oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, television, and free Wi-Fi.

      Relax with your friends by one of our massive rock fireplaces in our restaurant or lounge. Soak in the incredible seascape from our oceanfront location. Sit back and watch whales breach and eagles soar among the many islands surrounding Bucareli Bay and the town of Craig Alaska, less than a mile away.

      We offer you 10 hours of guided fishing each day. Hours are not specific but most customers leave around 6:00 a.m. and return late in the afternoon
