Arctic River Guides provided my two friends and me with outstanding logistics, service, and rental equipment for a successful float on the North Fork Koyukuk. Their rental boats (16’ SOAR and AIRE Outfitter II) and other gear was in excellent condition. In addition to promptly answering all of my questions during the months leading up to the trip, Garrett was very accommodating both when we received and when we returned our rentals in Fairbanks. I highly recommend Arctic River Guides. I will definitely work with them again when boating in Alaska’s Arctic.

We had an excellent experience renting equipment from Arctic River Guides for our trip down the Alatna River. Garrett responded to our emails and calls in a timely manner and shipped, delivered, received, and billed our equipment as discussed. He also went out of his way to help us organize and ship a some items from REI. We will definitely use ARG again!

On a family trip of the Fortymile River in Alaska and Canada, I needed a boat for my river-savvy brother-in-law from Colorado. Garrett fixed us up with a 14- foot raft that was spotless, in excellent condition and had all the related gear that was also perfect. We were in a deadline situation as another rental opportunity fell through. Lucky us. Garrett knows Alaska like few others.

I have been kayaking/rafting rivers of the West for over 30 years. Recently returned from a trip on the Hula Hula river in the Brooks Range. Our group of 6 rented two boats and associated river/camping gear from Garrett at Arctic River Guides as we were based out of Oregon. Garrett was instrumental in providing top quality gear and outfitted our group like a pro. Beyond the gear, his experience in logistics and trip planning was an asset that significantly enhanced our trip, saved us cash and left me with a new career goal to be a raft guide in the Arctic. I have been running rivers all over the world and have begged, borrowed and rented equipment on every continent. We had river gear stolen in Fairbanks Alaska while on our way to run the Hula Hula in the ANWR. We found Arctic River Guides, thank the Gods, and rented equipment from Garrett Jones the owner. The gear he provided matched or excelled my personal gear. He was spot on with superb service and regaled us with delightfull conversations about his impressive experience on Alaska north slope rivers.
