        Haven't stayed here myself but that is the friendliest family I have met to date stopped for a quick load check to find out we lost a tote that the son just by luck was right behind us to return it and the owner of this fine establishment was kind enough to see if we needed a hand or a couple of straps

        My parents paid for me to take a vacation, and Nelchina Lodge is where I stayed. I was greeted by the owner's dog, Bigley. Thanks Peter and Heidi for the kind hospitality, comfortable room, and I enjoy dog mushing, so Peter showed me how to use the TV and there was re-runs of the mushing race in Glennallen last winter, so I watched it. Thanks for everything. And my dog and Peter's dog, Bigley got along great. The 2 dogs and I hiked down to the lake nearby, Bigley was a great guide, he knew the way. Thanks, and lead on, Bigley.
