        Jeff Butler, the proprietor, is super nice, with good personal service. The Halsingland is a rustic old Colonial Revival hotel that used to be the turn-of-century officers quarters on Fort William H Seward. Rooms are spacious. No breakfast offered, the old dining room has since closed , but there is a single serve coffee dispenser available for your use in the lobby. The north side of the hotel has good solid , fast internet. It was fun to get to know Jeff, and his Avis rental actually has cars available, unlike Juneau!
