As I traveled through Ketchikan in an RV, I needed to have a tender gum evaluated before setting off for more remote towns. Dr. Thompson accommodated me at 1:30 on the same day I called. When I arrived, after filling out the obligatory new-patient paperwork, he squeezed me in between two of his regular patients. Fortunately, he found no problems, and assured me the slight soreness is routine given that I'd had a tooth extracted a couple months ago. He didn't charge me a cent! He was very pleasant and professional, and I am very appreciative to continue my trip with the peace of mind he provided.
