My husband and I just returned from staying at The Wild Strawberry Lodge. We spent four days fishing and had an amazing experience. The accommodations were lovely, the food excellent and the staff were attentive and caring. The two captains, Chad and David and deck hands Mike and Kaylie, worked tirelessly taking care of baiting our hooks, untangling our lines and netting our fish. Just finished our 3rd trip with this amazing lodge. Everything is done the right way. From the airport pickup to the fishing. We gone out 3 years now with the same boat captain. Kyle works hard to get you your fish. We love going out fishing with him. My wife and I go back year after year.

The best fishing charter in SE Alaska! Ive had the pleasure of staying at and fishing with Wild Strawberry Lodge on two different trips. It was an incredible experience both times. They do such a wonderful job of taking care of you from the time they pick you up at the airport until your journey is over. Hospitality is 20 stars. Food is incredible. Sleeping accommodations are fine. And the fishing experiences.. omg! It was so much fun!! You will be beckoned back again and again because its such a great journey. Thank you to my friends at WSL. This is my first time doing this, so I do not have any other fishing lodge to compare it to. We went from 6/10-14 and fished for 3 days. Situated in Sitka, AL. this wonderful fishing lodge is close to being perfect. Airport pick up and drop off. Your catch is cleaned, fileted, flash frozen, boxed and labeled for your trip home. It will be checked as luggage. It will stay frozen for 24 hours. Your party will stay in one or two rooms depending on the size of your group. The 3 of us were in a comfy room; great water pressure in shower & black out curtains! Breakfast served buffet style at 4:30 AM. 5-minute walk to boat, or a 2-minute shuttle ride. Boats leave harbor at 5:30 AM Killer sandwiches made by the Capn at sea accompanied with a beverage and chips. Back at dock approx. 3:30 PM or after you catch your days limit. Hors Doeuvres served at 4:30, followed by buffet dinner. BYOB. Bfast and dinners were good, not exceptional, sandwiches were stellar! Fished for King Salmon (we did not catch our limit most likely due to our inexperience, (Capn had us getting bites), Halibut, Rockfish and Lingcod. Seas were too rough for us to try for Sable in deeper waters. Capn Chad and deck hand Isaac (Moose) were great. It amazed all of us how they knew that one of us on the other side of the boat needed some assistance without us having to call for them. They were very helpful in the various techniques for each species, personable and worked their butts off. This is a must trip for the experienced angler or the novice. Cute town (take the Zodiac tour if you can) and book early. They already are fairly well booked for next season
