Its nice if you live there or want to. Its great for launching boats and staying a day or a week. There are campsites and day use areas.

The Ranger at the entrance was very nice and friendly. Not real busy here this time of year so a relaxing experience.

I am visiting Katherine Landing for a second year in my Class A motorhome. I had the chance to speak with Karen who oversees operations to tell her what a great job Del & Deb do hosting the campground! Friendly, informative...just the type of people that makes a conversation comfortable! In meeting other staff that take care of the area I wanted to tell Karen that everyone else too was professionally kind- I look forward to keeping this a regular visit while I'm snowbirding from the Northeast! Great place to visit / vacation. Clean with beautiful palm trees, desert views and crystal clear lake. They also have showers and a laundry facility which is very convenient. The staff member's are friendly and always willing to help with any questions or needs you may have. Also have clean bathrooms in different section's of the 2 campground's kept clean by the gracious campground host's "Deb & Del". I met Deb & Del last year when they started as campground host's. They are great people with an infectious zest for helping people feel welcome, happy, and right at home. They have become like family to me. So grateful to have met them. Take time to speak with them for a few minutes and you'll see what I mean. If you plan on camping, the sites don't offer water, electric or sewer hook-ups. Although, there are some water spigots near a few of the campsites. If you plan on being there for an extended period of time, plan accordingly. They do have a dump station which is good for travel trailers and RV's. ( of which I have neither... maybe someday?) I gave a four star rating because of the lack of hook-ups at the campsites, and also the "GOD AWFUL" wind that whips thru the river valley! It does tend to be quite annoying at times. Also, if you plan on camping here during the summer month's, you better have good AC. It gets BRUTALLY HOT!!! Otherwise, have fun...HAPPY TRAILS !!!
