image Dropped off a mens sport jacked to have a simple alteration for a sleeve to be shortened. The seamstress took measurements, pinned the jacket and assigned a price. I came back a week later and she said she was unable to complete the job because she did not have the knowledge to do so ??? Apparently mens clothing items are beyond the skill level of anyone working at this business even though they advertise so? There are many alteration business shops out there; I would use another because apparently they are not very skilled at this one. Service: Alterations

image **Ruined my Pottery Barn 124" Silk Duponi black out curtain panel (purchased new, retail is still $249 plus tax) and they have not made it right, or even apologized. Management has been horrific, rude, attacking, lying and awful to deal with.**
I choose Lapel's based on great reviews and based on good experiences that I had with them several years ago. I have my silk Pottery Barn curtain that got a stain on it from a steak/BBQ dinner. I needed to use a dry cleaner that had good reviews and that I trusted to clean this expensive curtain panel, which was like new. I called Lapels the next morning (2/21/22) after the stain occurred and described in detail what happened, that the curtain was Pottery Barn dupioni silk. The lady I spoke with on the phone asked many specific questions about the panel, gave a quote and said they would need to see the panel in person to verify how much it would be. I brought the curtain panel in that afternoon (fresh stain from the night before), showed the stain. Lapel's looked at the dry cleaning tag, noted in their system that the brand was pottery barn and verified the charge should be the $40.68. I signed a notice that I was told stateds that they would only clean the panel according to the label instructions, which my label said "dry clean only". I was told it would take about a week to get done but might be done sooner.
The panel was ready on 2/24/2022 and I went to pick it up on Friday (2/25). When I arrived, no one said anything about the stain but thankfully I checked the curtain panel. The stain was still there and only slightly lighter. The fabric looked ruined and not the same as it was when I dropped it off (fabric looked completely flat and dull in color, not the shiny color of silk dupioni material with the raised 3D silk threads). When I asked the panel to be redone, the manager tried to get me to pay for the panel first. I said there stain was still there and that it needed to be retreated first. The manager stated roughly 5 times that Pottery Barn curtains always shrink that they do not take pottery barn. She never apologized and was rude and insistent that they do not take Pottery Barn. However, I called ahead of time, stating it as Pottery Barn and the employee at the store looked at the tag, notated in the system that it was Pottery Barn and never said anything about them not accepting Pottery Barn and never said anything about the material shrinking. The fact is that Lapels did accept my curtain panel, knowing it was PB. She said they would send it back but was rude. I was upset since it looked like my expensive curtain panel had been ruined but I did not have my other panels with me to verify. I called corporate that night and left a message about the problem with the store and that I was very concerned that my panel looked like it was ruined. The corporate office never did call me back and it is now 8 days later.
I got an email the night of 3/4/22 stating that my dry cleaning was ready. I went to pick up on 3/5/22. This time, I brought one of my panels into the store to compare and see if the material was ruined or not. The stain did not look any lighter. The material is the same as I saw the first time it was cleaned. The silk threads are completely flat, like the panel has been ironed. The fabric looks lifeless and dull in color. It now looks like cheap cotton material. The manager was not there and I asked to speak to a regional manager. The teenage boy did not know how to contact anyone but his manager. He called the manager and it turns out it is the same rude lady that I spoke with the week before when the curtain had been ruined. She was nasty, accusing, and AWFUL to work with. I have NEVER been treated so horribly by ANYONE before. She lied, blamed me for sending the curtain back again, talked right over me, attacked me, did not listen to anything I had to say without arguing and talking right over me. Never once apologized for a ruined panel or for an employee accepting a brand they do not accept. I am completely appalled. Told me someone would call me Mon.
