We spent copious amounts of money to send our mechanically minded son to this out of state institute. There is no accountability! They can treat your student anyway they want at a private institution with no oversight and or consequences. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO UTI. Footnote: Notice there is NO PUBLIC DIRECTORY for any of the campuses. You have to go through a very snotty [corporate] switchboard operator that doesn't go out of her way to help you reach the management hierarchy you are seeking....again, no accountability.

Update!!! They have made things right. My son was 2 classes from graduation with a 3.9 GPA. He goes into class today to find out he has to retake a class. He had missed 1 section of an IOL (not the whole assignment just a section) they failed him. Talked to Education department they said tough he needs to retake it. I asked why the instructor didnt mention it, he stood by the instructor saying they have been working hard at getting instructors to communicate with students. So my student with a 3.9 GPA just said screw it!? Yes my son should have made sure that he did the whole assignment, at the same time the instructor should have said oh this kid has good grades what happened. Oh better let him know. To top it off this was 2 or 3 phases ago and he was never told he failed. Big disappointment in a school that costs 44,000.00 in it for the money!

I am sorry to say but we did not have a good experience with this school. My son was so excited to find a program that he thought he would enjoy. A program that would work with his learning style, which is hands on. We were told there would be very little book work and testing and mostly hands on. We asked multiple times and were always told the same thing. This was completely opposite when he arrived. It was mostly class work and tests. When there was hands on it was done in groups where not every student had the same amount of time with the hands on experience. My son had an IEP as well which we gave to the school. This was only partially followed. He asked for help, tried hard for several months but then fell behind. He failed two classes, became discouraged and reached out to his advisers multiple times but ultimately made the decision to leave the school. The day he withdrew we met with housing and the financial department. We were given information and told that he would probably be responsible for some of his tuition even though we personally paid a large amount monthly and he had financial aide. We had to wait for the corporate office to send us a break down. When they sent it the amount was very large and we would have to make payments. When we spoke to them finally (because Arizona time does not coincide with working NJ time) we were given an amount that he could not afford. We offered a good faith payment which was refused. We were then told, "we will just let it sit for 83 days then send him to collections". I explained the initial contract stated it could be a minimum of $100 but was told they couldn't hold that kind of note. They were very unwilling to work with us on the payment. I then tried to call the Exton PA campus where he went, left a message and have yet to hear back. It's very disheartening most of our entire experience with this school. In addition if my son would have been told to stay in classes just two more weeks he would have had the full financial aide for that section and we would not be going through this. Be transparent, be honest, support the students, embrace their learning. Sadly that is not what we received. We feel taken advantage of, kicked aside after he left, not cared for, not supported and honestly robbed of a lot of money. Do your homework, ask a lot of questions, don't go in blind. And as of this review still no response from either Arizona or Exton. Be careful.
