They have been so slow to respond to us. Have been working on a basic problem for over a month with no resolution. additionally the hold times are always 30 min plus.

The worse health care insurance I have ever had. Absolutely everything is a fight to get covered. Have specialty medications? Good luck getting them to cover them. I had a prescription denied, my doctor submitting for prior authorization and included all supporting documentation, they denied it. I appealed, again providing supporting documentation meeting all criteria they listed on their denial letter, the appear was denied. I called to ask why and was told I did not meet their criteria. I pointed out that I provided the documentation showing I did meet all criteria, there was a moment of silence then I was put on hold. I was then told the person who reviewed the appeal did not see the documentation (wonder how many other appeals this has happened to) and re-reviewed the appeal stating I did meet the criteria but then added an additional criteria not originally listed on the denial letter and the appeal was still denied. While I could have easily provided documentation that I met the additional criteria, I let the person on the phone know I'd be contacting a lawyer since I documentation of the criteria that was outlined by them was met and continually adding more criteria would breach that documentation. I was again put on hold, but this time when they came back the appeal decision had magically be reversed. In the end I did get my medication, but this process took 3 months, meaning I was without my medication for 3 months, medication that is vital to my treatment plan. In addition, had I not personally fought for those 3 months to get my medication, the carelessness of their employees would have meant I never got it. All they care about is their bottom line (like most insurance companies) and not the health and well being of their customers.
