Great guest ranch. We stayed there when it was the Walker Ranch a few years ago. So glad it's open again. New owners and a new name but still amazing. Adobe casitas, cabanas, pool, game room, ranch house, a lake, barns, horses, cattle - all in beautiful Sonoita AZ near AZ wineries. Perfect for a weekend of wine tasting. Would be great for a wedding or party.

Came here for a wedding this past weekend. The property is really pretty with a pond and lots of space. I can't speak for what the casitas were like but it was definitely a cute place to have a western themed wedding. The ceremony was outdoors, overlooking the pond area and the reception inside a big barn. I am guessing the wedding party had a hand in the decorations, but there was plenty of space and it was a really nice set up. As a guest to an event here there were a couple of drawbacks. Because the barn is surrounded by stables with horses in them, there were a ton of flies -- and no air circulation in the barn other than the airflow between the two large barn doors. There are also no bathrooms unless you count portable bathrooms. I was able to walk up to a 'game room' where there was a pool table and a bathroom so I was thankful for that. Update *11/18/2020 after 2 years a response from the owner posts who clearly do not realize 3 stars is fine. Your reply is unnecessary and quite frankly childish when my only call out was regarding the rest room situation. If this is how they behave towards a decent review, I would not like to see how they behave when experiencing issues with guests/folks that rent out their venue.

I would give zero star review if I could. My fiancé and I were interested in booking the Last Stand Guest Ranch (LSGR) for our wedding in 2021. Sonoita is one of our favorite places & we knew LSGR would be the perfect venue. I reached out on two separate occasions and left a voicemail. I never received a call back so I thought maybe they just weren’t good at checking voicemail, I know I’m not... so I sent an email and never got a response. Finally, my fiancé and I were in the area so we stopped by the ranch to see if maybe we could catch the venue owner there. We knocked on the door, heard the person inside and they never came and answered the door. Later that day we were told by a different venue owner that the LSGR is not booking because they are trying to sell the property. We would have completely understood if we had gotten a response that said they weren’t booking. Instead, we were ignored. What an unprofessional business. EDIT on 11/18/2020: For the owner calling my review “fake” here is a pic of just TWO of the emails. This doesn’t include the phone calls, voicemails, AND visit to the ranch during business hours. Like i said, if you’re not booking that’s completely understandable. What’s unprofessional is not replying. Also, thanks for the response which shows your business is unprofessional AND lies.
