Terry moved a 42,000lb Military Vehicle that requires both high driver and vehicle standards to be met. He arrived the night prior for pickup so he could be the first one loaded and was at the drop off the day prior to ensure timelines were met. He maintained constant communication, provided in-route tracking, and even sent a high-quality video of the vehicle being unloaded. I would highly recommend Terry for any job but especially for jobs where there is no room for error.

I engaged with Freight Girlz in May 2022, a company owned by Jay and Abby Schmidlapp. Initially, our experience with them seemed highly promising, as they exhibited genuine enthusiasm and were readily available to assist us even before we officially began doing business. This initial impression instilled a sense of trust and optimism in my business partner and me. They seemed like wholesome upstanding people who could take on any challenge. At the onset, Jay and Abby displayed a commendable level of involvement, going above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition. They were in constant communication with us, organizing and planning extensively to ensure the successful integration of our trucks into their operations. Their commitment to our success and profitability as "investors" in the physical assetsthe trucksseemed apparent. However, after a couple months, our experience with Freight Girlz took an unfortunate turn. We began to notice a series of concerning issues that eroded our confidence in their ability to effectively manage our business and deliver on their promises. One major problem was the handling of fuel transactions. Instead of promptly disclosing these transactions, they were often held back, leading to a constant state of uncertainty regarding our cash flow. This opaque approach created a significant challenge for us, as we were unable to accurately gauge the financial health of our venture. Due to their limited size, we experienced higher insurance costs, which significantly burdened our business. Their inability to negotiate competitive rates and leverage economies of scale ultimately had a detrimental effect on our bottom line. This further emphasized their limitations and raised concerns about their capacity to effectively manage and support our operations. We also encountered numerous service-related difficulties. The service manager at Freight Girlz seemed overwhelmed and ill-equipped to handle the demands of their workload. It became apparent that they were understaffed and in dire need of additional resources to effectively manage the maintenance and repairs of our trucks. Basic tasks such as getting the oil changed on time were neglected, and they showed little effort in negotiating competitive prices for repairs or comparing rates among different service providers. In one egregious instance, they were unaware that a repair shop was closed for an entire weekend, leaving us and our driver stranded and exacerbating the already strained relationship. Compounding these issues was our growing realization that Freight Girlz was dispatching our trucks on unprofitable loads. As I analyzed the dispatched freight loads, I discovered a pattern of assigning our trucks to trips paying only $1.00 or less per mile. We were paying freight girlz to make money while we lost money. It was disheartening to experience this blatant disregard for our bottom line. As the numbers continued to decline, I felt compelled to raise concerns and seek solutions. I started asking tough but necessary questions, hoping for a collaborative effort to find ways to improve profitability and establish a concrete plan to generate better returns. Instead of engaging in a constructive dialogue, Jay and Abby chose to evade accountability and responsibilities. They resorted to unprofessional behavior reminiscent of high schoolers, ghosting myself and my business partner. Our attempts to reach ownership were met with excuses and claims that Jay had taken a new job as an Uber driver, rendering him unavailable to address our concerns. This sudden disappearance and refusal to communicate demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and disregard for the business relationship we had established. We were then notified (by their service manager) that their business was shutting down and that we should recover our trucks. In conclusion, my experience with Freight Girlz was profoundly disappointing, cost me thousands and thousands of dollars in the way of lost profit and damage done to our trucks.
