image Travel tip: Since the Airport Valet Express service has been temporarily suspended due to the pandemic, travelers from Palmdale, Lancaster, and Bakersfield can save half the drive to LAX by utilizing the Van Nuys FlyAway station, 7610 Woodley, ($9.75, with parking at $5/day).

image 101 degrees Broken AC, Broken Bus and Broken Promise From the Owner
This happened over a year ago, and I was back out in CA and reminded me about this. Flew into LAX to go to Bakersfield to visit a friend. The bus seemed like a decent option so I bought my tickets in advance. The bus arrived 90 minutes later than it was supposed to, but ok, stuff happens.
The AC in the back of the bus was broken. It was over 100 degrees that day and the manager knew that the bus's AC was broken. The driver of the bus had no problem because the AC was working in the front. There were senior citizens on the bus that were struggling, and one of the women on the bus threw up into the trashcan because it was so hot. There was an accident on the route that also caused the trip to take over 3 hours. No bathroom break, no stops for water, no apologies.
When we finally arrived, I asked the manager to go sit inside the bus for 15 minutes as all of us had just sat in the bus for ~200 minutes. He said no and that it wasn't his problem and mouthed off to me. Ok, fine- I asked to speak to the owner and he was out. They gave me a $20 bill and I threw it back at them as this wasn't about the money. I wanted an apology or some understanding, not a manager mouthing off to me about how it wasn't their fault.
I charged back my credit card as the service was not as described. This got the owner to eventually call me back and ask me to remove the dispute if he would issue a refund. I said ok, and closed the dispute. He never issued a refund.
I understand the AC having trouble, but when they knew the AC wasn't working and it was 101+ degrees- that's unacceptable. When the owner of the company lies about issuing a refund, its just petty.
I'm not very worried about $68, but when I talk to Philip Rudnick, the owner, on the phone and he doesn't follow through with a simple promise over $68, I wonder what other corners they cut or what kind of people they are running the company.
This was from over a year ago and it took me a while to dig up the photos, but you can see the date, you can see me with my shirt off, shoes off, the temperature, the traffic, and the poor soul that threw up on the bus.
They are pretty much the only option for most people, although I have now rented a car or uber'd to visit friends in Bakersfield- I won't use them again.

image Waited over an hour and the driver kept telling me
15 10 and finally Ill be there in 8 minutes i had to put oil in the vehicle
I was told i would be picked up at 0800 for my 12:00 flight.
Its almost 0900 and I have a bag to check and a service dog that I need to make sure gets on my plane. I cant show up an hour before my flight but now i just might miss it because this shuttle service.
So i wish i could give negative stars because of how much this is going to cost me.
Never using this service again.
