We arrived right after Inyo Forest reopened and were the only two folks staying in the camping/RV park for our three day visit. When we arrived we were quickly helped by the woman tending the store. She offered a selection of sites. We chose one and quickly set up camp. The place is beautiful, quiet and very relaxing. We were self sufficient and didn't require any additional services. It was a great visit and we can't wait to return for a longer stay.

We just we up to the resort to fish the pond. We couldn't figure out why no one was there fishing. And there was yellow caution tape around pound. My husband started fishing and caught a fish. He said they was a ton of fish in pond. Darrell came out of store to tell us that it cost to fish there now. $10 just to fish and then $1 an inch for fish you catch and you can't throw them back because they die. He said it's because DFG isn't stocking their pond so they have to buy fish themselves. So we packed up and left to go to Baker creek campground.

We chose this campground for its proximity to the pine lakes' trail head and because it had flushing toilets. Wow we had a great time! The caretakers were so accommodating and warm. We forgot to bring butane for our little stove and they had some for sale in the small shop that they have. They also catch fresh trout in the little pond and they fry it right up for you! (It was delicious.) I don't think I saw one mosquito for the 2 nights we camped out. The best part was that campground is very close to the river and it was really nice to listen to when you fall asleep. We will be back!

Been camping at Glacier Lodge Campground since the early 70's. First time renting a cabin as an adult. Stayed in #18. Wasn't cheap, but well worth it. Issues from others previous posts have been rectified, i.e.; backsplash in kitchen fixed, mattresses replaced and comfy, decent cookware. Got a visit from the bear our first day and had deer eating grass and leaves behind our cabin. Fishing is poor in the stream due to a lack of DFG sticking caused by issues with the hatcheries last year. It'll get better, I'm sure. The kiddie pond is well stocked though and shame on anyone complaining about having to pay or taking advantage without paying. I've been here many years long past where they're wasn't a single fish. Darrin and family, the owners, are extremely gracious and welcoming. Took advantage of the Saturday BBQ our first day. OMG!!!!! YUMMY!! LOL.... Lasted us two days. We'll be back again soon for sure!! Hopefully along with the fish!!
