Beard Papas

My family LOVES these Cream Puffs and this location is closest to where we are. I personally think they're overpriced for what they are at $2.05 per puff but hey, my aunts and parents heart them so these tend to be the desserts in our family gatherings. I came here on Christmas Day to get a fresh order, and the worker there seemed a bit new. The cream pump ran out in the middle of our order so she had to refill, so some of our puffs didn't have as much cream in it. You can also request for them to NOT put the powdered sugar on top which I actually prefer. Less messy and you can appreciate the pastry taste more. Be sure to check out the bulk order discounts!

I love it when you call me Beard Papa! Throw yo hands in the air, if you's a true playa! Even though it's closeby, I haven't been to Beard Papa's since '08-'09. I remember trying their famous cream puffs during the time I was undergoing radiation therapy at Kaiser Permanente. Shopping at the nearby Big Lots was the perfect excuse to come back and see what I've been missing. Beard Papa's offers various cream puff varieties. I remember my favorite from yesteryear being the eclair ($2.40), so I went with that. Mmmm, puffy creme delightfulness! It's like an non-oily chocolate bar. Silky smooth vanilla creme on the inside, with a mild crunch on the outside. Now I remember why this was my favorite, being the chocoholic that I am. Kinda pricey, but not unreasonably so. If cream puffs aren't your thing, Beard Papa's also offers sweet drinks, mochi and coffee. I was tempted to avail myself of pretty much everything, but I showed restraint by just having an eclair and sharing it. Aren't you proud of me? ;p There is a fair amount of tables for seating. Service was good, as our creme puff was promptly filled and handed to us. Parking is in a private lot shared by BJ's Brewhouse, Skate Depot, Easy Life Furniture etc. Are you looking to Puff, Puff, Give? Then Puff your way on over to Beard Papa's! Hey, I'm not fat!
