Unique landscape in California. Dry land with colorful mountain, Valley, Creek in the middle of a desert land, water falls, Volcano, star gazing and it goes on. Always carry water with you. Down load map before you hit this dry land. No network at all. Pre determine meet points. Know the weather forecast for the day. Its a dry land so wind is plays a major role. Best place to visit with kids.

Loved the park but the hotel (The Ranch at Death Valley)was way over priced, especially when they add a$22/day Resort Fee. When we checked in we were told that they "almost gave our room away because someone with a similar name had checked-in earlier". The clerk then changed the room # on the pre-printed check-in form. We later found out that the original room was actually a recently renovated cottage and we were given a room in the building at the back of the property and was in poor condition. Also the Buffet was poor quality. Don't stay st the resort, find somewhere else.
