I have been a patient at Dr. Semels practice for many years. I appreciate her professionalism and calm demeanor. Last year I was placed in the care of a new member of Dr. Semels office: Dr. Julia Larson. I dont like change, and was..hesitant to see Dr. Larson. OMG! Not only is she bright-as her credentials can attest to-she is charming, sweet, energetic, and an absolute gem! As the young people say, Dr. Larson is a VIBE! She is so patient and so knowledgeable..I am grateful she is part of Semel Vision Care. Go see (get itha ha) Dr. Larson. You will leave knowing youve truly been cared for!

Everyone from the time I stepped into the Semel offices were kind, super helpful, efficient and extremely professional. Highly recommended and will be back.

Unfortunately, contrary to everyone's experience here, after almost 10 years of going to Dr. Semel, I just had such a bad experience recently. I had my exam performed by Dr. Larson. I expressed my concern about my reading getting worse. I had 2 eye exams performed by her last week because she had prescribed me a lower prescription than my current one. Which one of them was the same results from November 2022. I have the glasses from 2022, and I can't see clearly with them. I've tried wearing my old prescription for a day my old prescription thinking that maybe my eyes have actually improved. Unfortunately, I experienced dizziness and headache. I still don't understand why this Dr Would take this approach after I kept telling her that wasn't working. I'm feeling extremely disrespect at this point. I have since tried to get in contact with the office waiting to speak with Dr. Semel or the manager. When I spoke with the front desk, apparently was some kind of "dispute," and I can only speak with the office manager. They have yet to contact me back. In this process, I have wasted my one-time use a year allowed by my insurance. For me to get a second opinion I would have to pay for a new exam. I am afraid to get my glasses done and lose money since those lenses are so expensive. I am disappointed that they won't even call back to resolve now an "issue".
