Holly Burgan is by far the most diligent, professional and efficient escrow officer I have ever had the privilege to work with. I was introduced to Holly while representing a Buyer Client in 2012. Wow! Six days after I closed escrow on my new house, my insurance agent contacted me to tell me they had received a check from Centennial Escrow for my homeowner's policy. She wondered if they should bind coverage for the new house and asked if I had closed escrow already. Apparently, Holly Burgan (the escrow officer) did not see to it that the house was insured prior to close. I don't know how this happens! When we questioned Holly, she produced a form which she said proved the house was insured. Not so. That was simply the form my insurance agent (with 20 years of experience) provided to the lender to show the house was insurable and how much the policy would cost. Holly still needed to contact the insurance agency and provide the closing date so we could bind the policy. My insurance company was never notified of the close of escrow. For six days, I was completely uninsured against loss or liability through my insurance while contractors worked on the house. Imagine that feeling! Thankfully, nothing bad happened and I have a quick thinking insurance agent...There were a couple of other issues along the way but this was the big one.
