** Update** The owners lost the Bellafonte and it was sold at auction to people who know nothing about the hotel business and don't currently have any plans to re-open. Shame cause it's a beautiful piece of property Warning!!!! Warning!!!! Warning!!!! Owners are legitimate SCAM ARTISTS! Just ask the local sheriff's department!

We stayed here last year and we loved it. We decided to book again this year for outdoor nationals thinking we would have another great stay. But not exactly. Husband booked a room around February. We needed it for may 27. Two days before our arrival we get a call that our reservation was cancel because they maybe were not gonna be open so my husband ask for refund. The day before we were supposed to stay we get a text confirming our reservation we were so confused so we decided to check it out on our way to our new hotel and its abandoned. Its boarded up and looks like no one has been there for while. Maybe out of business which is sad because we loved it the duet time we stayed. And then today we got another text asking how we liked the room. Were guessing its just the automatic messaging.

This place is a total scam, please read this review so you don't end up wasting your money. Luckily the booking agent I made the reservation through saved me and canceled the reservation before we wasted our money. We drove to the resort and it was completely run down and locked up. For some reason I was getting automated text still saying the room was ready and asking how our stay was which was odd because looking at the place it looks like its been abandoned for months. Any of the numbers provided are either disconnected or dont answer so avoid this place at all cost

This place seems like a scam ! They took our money and upon our arrival, we were unable to check-in. The place looks abandoned. After some researching, ownships be changing. But PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!
