The construction crews were the only admirable aspect of this company. From the day I signed the contract, the office personal from sales to project coordinators to top managers were complacent, unaware of status, could not give straight answers without passing the buck to someone else who still could not answer questions. The team that works the permit process, scheduling, and other items before installation are complete joke's. There is no coordinated organization or communication between the various departments. In total, I dealt with 8 different people, 2 of which were fired during my project. It was the worst customer service I've ever had for a 28k purchase. I only went with baker solar ( baker electric) because of their well know good reputation for quality electrical work. Mainly in San Diego County, and they are a one stop shop ( meani g sales, installation , construction are all one company). My system installation is definitely quality from what I've experienced so far, however I would not recommend baker solar just because of the admin / project team I had to deal with. I'm obviously not the only one who has had this experience. There are plenty of one stop shop solar companies out there, maybe they all have their issues similar to this. BTW, don't get scammed by the fake 0.99% or 1.99% financing, they tack an additional 10k to the price to compensate.. if financing just go with a 4% , you won't get the additional 10k financing charge and you can pay off at anytime and save yourself money. Typically nobody stays in a house for 15 years and they bet on that, that's why they trick you into a low interest but add additional finance charges. This is just a way for the banks to ensure they make the profit in case you pay off early or sell your home.

In the Spring of 2021, Baker Home Energy installed a new air conditioning/furnace system in our house; as part of that work, they also re-did all the duct work. Chuy and Eddie did all the work; they were great! They communicated very well; they always kept us up-to-date on progress and any issues. They always answered all of our questions. Not only that, they were considerate (e.g., they worked around the fact that we work from home). Since then, we have been able to beat the heat and humidity this summer with our new A/C; we are very thankful. We highly recommend Baker Home Energy in general and Chuy and Eddie in particular; you won't be disappointed!

On time, professional, courteous and excellent workmanship. Esteban was an expert who answered every question with patience and phrased things in a way I could understand. The work site was kept clean and safe. When they completed the project you couldn't tell anyone had been there except for the wonderful solar panels on the roof. A++ for everyone connected to this project!

My family had 21 solar panels installed in October of 2020. Unfortunately the experience was about as bad as you could get. I don’t want to bore you with a long story so here are some bullet points. -The initial visit by the sales guy was good. I did have to follow up with him about getting a quote. -The quote I received was wrong and luckily I checked the math and noticed we were short on panels. -After we signed the contract, things went great. We got regular updates about the process and we were pleased. -We then got a call telling us that they were out of panels and we needed to upgrade to a more expensive panel if we wanted to continue or we would have to wait 2-4 months. When I refused, in order to guarantee solar credit of 2020, and said they needed to live up to the contract, they agreed and said we would get better panels, but with a much shorter warranty and negligible extra benefit. After I complained about the bait and switch, they agreed to put the panels in as scheduled. -Install was a mess. They broke off tile on my barbecue island and left trash all around my property, roof and attic. I understand that a screw could get missed, but we found over twenty sharp screws or sheet metal in our backyard. Our one year old son found a screw and was chewing on it. -What really sent me over the edge was a few days later when it was windy. A large and sharp piece of metal flew off our roof and landed a couple feet from daughter. If it had hit her, it would have been a severe injury. I complained and they sent someone out to clean up. After he was there, we found additional trash including a two foot long metal conduit lying on the insulation in our attic. -I called again to stress the danger they caused to my family and to their business and asked to speak to a manager. The woman I spoke to said she was the only manager I could speak to. I was not looking for compensation, I only wanted to convey to upper management what was happening during their installs. -It didn’t stop there. We had issues with the equipment they installed, the connection to the internet and the app and had a technician out three more times. It sucks to write this because I heard so many great things about Baker. However, I could never recommend them and suggest you look elsewhere.
