We just finished a major landscaping project with Custom Plantings. They completely overhauled our front yard by removing the lawn, replacing irrigation, and transforming it to be drought tolerant. To say that we are extremely satisfied would be an understatement. Darcie was running the project like clockwork, clearly communicating and delivering on her commitments- on time and on budget. Her knowledge of plants is unrivaled. Her crew is very well organized, efficient and courteous. They aim to satisfy the customer and are successful in achieving it. We highly recommend Custom Plantings for any landscaping efforts.

Custom Plantings is simply THE BEST! When looking to replace my front lawn with a drought-friendly garden, I scoured the portfolios of landscapers all over the region. Darcie was one of the very few who could provide what I was looking for: a gorgeous landscaping design that emphasized the greenery and flowers, not just rocks and hardscaping like other landscapers do.From design, to selecting plants, to execution, Darcie's work is perfection. She went the extra mile in ensuring that all the weeds and Bermuda grass were gone before the installation (a lengthy process), and she made sure that every detail was to my satisfaction. When selecting plants, I gave her a general idea of the colors and aesthetic that I was looking for, and then she invited me to a walk-through at the nursery so that she could ensure 100% of the selected plants were ones that I liked. She is very direct, but that's fine, because she is the expert and really knows her stuff!I couldn't be happier with her transformation of my front yard (which looks even better in-person), and I'm excited for the greenery and florals to spread their color even further. Not only did she deliver the front yard of my dreams, but she managed to stay under-budget. SO happy to have had the chance to work with Darcie and Custom Plantings!

I saw Darcie's work in other yards around our neighborhood and decided to call her for an estimate on redoing our front yard.  Boy, am I glad I did.  She was so easy to work with; got to know me and my gardening style (low to easy maintenance!!)  She told me it would be at least five weeks AFTER our lawn was torn out before she would have her crew finish.  That's because it takes 5 weeks of watering for the weeds to come back up.  She was right!  In fact it took 2 more rounds of spraying before she was confident the weeds wouldn't come back.  I think that's what sealed our deal to begin with; she was adamant that weeds had to be gone before any new planting could begin.Her crew is amazing.  They were here during the over 100 degree days; started at 6:00 every morning.  Always on time, cheerful and always willing to answer any of my questions.  And they know their stuff.  We have always had a drainage problem in our back yard.  I'm very confident that they have that fixed now.  They put in all new drip in the front but also looked at my drip in the back and fixed that too.  They cleaned up every day before they left; sweeping the walkways and driveway.  Darcie and I went to Green Acres to pick out plants.  I decided I wanted plants that would benefit bees, hummingbirds and butterflies.  With her help I got exactly what I wanted and I don't have to do hardly any maintenance!  Darcie is so knowledgeable about plants that she made it easy!I love how our yard turned out.  Just the right amount of plants so that they have room to grow!  And a rainbow of colors.  Just what I wanted.  I would highly recommend Darcie and her crew for any landscaping projects you might have.  Their work is top notch!

Darcie is amazing at her craft! My entire family now uses Custom Plantings and I intend to hire her company again when I do my backyard.  She made it so easy and the final product turned out absolutely beautiful. The work was done in Feb 2022 and these pictures were taken in June 2022, so you can see the growth. I'm someone who knows nothing about plants and landscaping so I really appreciated her hands-on guidance. I first met Darcie at my house for a consultation. We talked about what I envisioned and she provided some options and took measurements.  I wanted drought-friendly landscaping that didn't include mulch. I needed a rock foundation that would stay in place in the fall when the leaves get blown, but still match the charm of my 1912 house. I also wanted lots of low-maintenance plants that would grow in over the rock and give splashes of fun color. Once the crew began, we met at Green Acres to discuss which plants would do the best in my yard. Darcie is very educated on all the different plants and knows which ones will do well with the sunlight and soil conditions of your location. I picked out all my favorite colors. I appreciate that she picked plants that bloom at different times so my yard always looks "in season". Finally, her crew was extremely professional -- always on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and got the job done before schedule. The total amount I owed came in much lower than the initial bid because they worked so efficiently.  The foreman gave me a tutorial on the sprinkler system and how the watering schedule was set up. Everything was cleaned up and looked sparkly and perfect at completion. I give Darcie and her company my highest approval rating!
