We have used company a few times and they always respond quickly. They work us in quickly and work friendly and efficiently. We joined VIP to keep up with our AC and it’s totally worth it. Casper has helped us out a lot. He is knowledgeable and helpful.

If I could give zero stars I would. High Tech HVAC, Inc was contracted through our Home Warranty Company, The Home Service Club, to service our claim for our air conditioning unit leaking (what is thought to be) water, freezing, and being low on refrigerant. Upon High Tech's first service call, the technician stated he was unable to find the diagnosis in order to provide a repair. After High Tech's initial service call with no diagnosis or repair, the Home Warranty Club provided several more service recalls for High Tech to return to our property to service the air conditioning unit. Each time, the service technician stated he was unable to find the diagnosis in order to provide a repair. However, with the last service call, the technician stated he would add refrigerant to the unit. My husband noticed that the refrigerant container read R407c. Our unit has existing R22. My husband inquired why R407c would be added rather than the existing R22 and asked if it was okay to mix the two. The technician stated it was R22 he was adding. With concern before adding the refrigerant, my husband inquired with the technician again. Again, the technician assured my husband the refrigerant was R22 being added to the unit. Being skeptical, my husband took a video with his cell phone of the refrigerant container labeled R407c and the technician adding the refrigerant to our unit. After the technician left, I Googled R407c and R22 refrigerants. According to Google images of both refrigerants, R407c was, in fact, the refrigerant added to our unit. A Google search also indicates that R407c cannot be added to existing R22 and that doing so will create a chemical reaction that effects the stratosphere and ozone layer. It will also affect the air conditioning unit by creating rapid damage to and loss of the compressor. I immediately contacted High Tech by telephone to remedy this issue. The person I spoke with at the company asked me to text images/video of the technician adding the R407c. I did. I received no response in return. I attempted to contact the company by text several more times, with no response in return. The next day, I texted again. Again, no response from the company. I then called the company. As I explained the issue again (to the same person I spoke with before and text before) I was met with complete confusion and lack of understanding as to the issue and my concerns. This person was completely confused and did not understand what I meant by mixing two different refrigerants or any damage it may cause. The person stated our unit was serviced and questioned me what I would like done. I explained again. Again, I was met with the same confusion and lack of understanding on High Tech's end. This conversation went on tirelessly and endlessly in circles before I terminated the call. After the call, I texted again the Google research about R407c being added to existing R22 and the damage this causes and that I would like this remedied. I have not received a response. This is not to mention that the original service call of the leaking (what is thought to be) water and freezing of the unit or reason for low refrigerant has not been diagnosed or provided a repair. I have provided, in good faith, High Tech many opportunities to resolve this issue - each opportunity to be met with what I believe to be an "act" of confusion and lack of understanding rather than a "true" confusion and lack of understanding. It would be difficult for one to believe that any HVAC company does not understand the issue of adding R407c to existing R22 and the damage it causes environmentally and to an HVAC unit. As it would also be difficult for one to believe that any HVAC company would not be able to diagnose a leak, a unit freezing and low refrigerant. Now, not only do the existing HVAC issues remain, but according to the EPA Rule 609, adding R407c to existing R22 is illegal, the chemicals combined causes harm to the stratosphere, ozone layer and will cause the air conditioning units compressor will fail.
