Garik,I am sorry you feel that I am “the worst lawyer,” provided that your opinion is based on a limited encounter you and I had. After you hired my office for your legal matter, I collected the information I needed from you and told you that I will draft your court papers and forward them to you for your review and signature. I drafted your documents within a few days after our conversation and emailed them to you for signing. When I did not receive the signed documents back from you, I called you a few days later, however you did not take my call and I left you a voicemail. You did not return my call, nor got in touch with my office, until recently.Given the nature of the type of law I practice, we do not push our clients to pursue litigation. Frequently, after our clients take the first step in initiating a legal action, they pause to re-think and make sure if they actually want to proceed. That is why your failure to communicate with us was viewed as a desire to reconsider to move forward. You called my office last week and asked if your case had been finalized. When I told you that I have not received the signed papers back from you, you denied ever receiving them. However, you checked your email and confirmed that you did in fact receive the documents from me. You also denied ever receiving a voicemail from me. I offered to file your court documents as soon as I received the signed documents from you. However, you blamed me for your failure to notice my email, and not being persistent in continuing to get in touch with you to push you to sign your documents, and requested a refund. Your refund was sent to you right away. The lack of communication on our part was not to avoid to do the work for you, as you did receive your completed papers from us. As a general rule, when clients stop communicating with us for several months, we take a step back to give them time to re-evaluate their decision whether they want to pursue a legal action or not.Law Offices of Liana Stepanyan
