Great place for information about the local area including businesses and the history of the town. They even have wine tasting there now.

A LITTLE BIT OUT OF DATE
So I'm not sure what's going on with the Isleton Chamber of Commerce webpage, but we checked it out before attending this year's Crawdad, errr, Cajun Festival. The website referred to it as the three-day Crawdad Festival (it's now a two-day Cajun Fest) and I think it's been this way for a handful of years, so I'm pretty sure their site is very outdated.
How disappointed we were after reading about the Crawdad Races on the COC's website to find their office the day of the festival and ask what time the races would be. The people working inside said their were none. Total bummer. Their site promotes other Isleton Festivals throughout the year - I wonder which of these also need updating!
A chamber of commerce is not a governmental institution, and does not directly write or pass laws and regulations. They do protect the interests of the business community as a whole by sponsoring local business events and promoting local businesses.
They missed their opportunity to promote a local business today. I called the COC to find out information about a company that we had visited but couldn't figure out the name of while we were in Isleton for the Cajun Fest. It was a bookstore on Main Street in the small downtown area, within the Festival limits. I knew the address but the woman who answered didn't know the name of the store. She was very sweet though and suggetsed I call the Cafe next door to the shop (Levee Cafe) for the store name.
Hopefully someone updates the website before next year's event.
