Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve

Mono lake is an incredible place it looks like a lunar landscape or something from a science fiction movie. The Towers in the water have caused by calcium build-up because of the high pH content of the water. The lake thought to be about 750000 years old. It is very easy to get to as the road runs very close to parts of the shoreline. It is a fantastic place for anybody interested in landscape photography. The lake here feels mysterious somehow. Maybe it's because Mono Lake is an alkaline salt lake. Located at the east entrance of Yosemite, this is a nice place with a very special feeling. Check carefully for weather condition first all the time before heading to here
