Mono lake is an incredible place it looks like a lunar landscape or something from a science fiction movie. The Towers in the water have caused by calcium build-up because of the high pH content of the water. The lake thought to be about 750000 years old. It is very easy to get to as the road runs very close to parts of the shoreline. It is a fantastic place for anybody interested in landscape photography. Dog-friendliness: It's very remote and empty so there's no problem bringing dogs

Mono lake is the most interesting lake. Ever. It has springs that turn solid into rare and unique structures of tufa, shrimp in the middle of the sierra nevadas, tons of fishing birds in an area with no fish, and This lake is all that is left of a gigantic ocean that used to cover a good chunk of California. The salt flats in the Mojave Desert? Mono Sea. The Mojave Desert? MONO SEA.

The lake here feels mysterious somehow. Maybe it's because Mono Lake is an alkaline salt lake. Located at the east entrance of Yosemite, this is a nice place with a very special feeling. Check carefully for weather condition first all the time before heading to here
