Always great, good food, yummy drinks. The atmosphere was the best though. Had a band playing classicc rock outside. Was a really fun night

I'm usually not one for giving 1 star! So let me explain myself. Initially, it was only the menu that was disappointing. The menu is straight nickle and diming. They have items on there that come with nothing, just meat. They could have easily made it into a meal. And the sides are super expensive so if you try to make it into a meal yourself you'll end up paying $30 with most likely way too much food, or even worse, just small, overpriced sides with a bunch of meat. They charge even for bread-- dinner rolls. The type of thing that should be included at restaurants like this. Secondly, I had the catfish. I switched from my original order of etouffe (should've stuck with it) because I saw someone else's plate and it looked wonderful. Turns out it just is a really pretty presentation. It was very greasy and slimy, the type of slimy you get when you don't cook fish long enough. My grandmother got the gumbo, it was okay. (Her opinion is that it was also greasy.) My son got the shrimp salad, his opinion was that there wasn't enough shrimp. We also had calamari. The calamari was good. I thought about giving 2 stars because my son enjoyed his salad... but both my grandmother and I have the bubble guts before we made it home. Tmi I know, but highly appropriate if you're thinking about going to eat there. The service was also disappointing. We were never asked how we enjoyed our food. We had to look for our waiter several times and it wasn't like so busy that we should have to do that even though there was a bit of a crowd. Can it be improved? Sure. But my stomach hurts too much right now to figure out how.
