Umami Burger

I came in about a two weekends ago for a show i was going to at the Orpheum and I'm honestly really disappointed by this place. It's clearly severely understaffed. Our waitress was a sweetheart and did her best. But there's not much you can do when your restaurant is in complete chaos. The manager was barely doing anything to help his team and I found his attitude unwelcoming and rude. The bar and kitchen were really backed up and our food/drinks took forever to come out. And when they did they brought out the wrong food. The guy who brought our food was understanding and brought our correct food as soon as he could, but he seemed new and not properly trained. Bartender was too busy with her section to make all the drinks for the rest of the restaurant at a reasonable time. This restaurant needs too see major improvements in staffing and management before I ever think of coming back.

Happy hour at UB in DTLA is a pleasant experience, cheap food and well drinks make for an enjoyable and relaxed experience before a show.

They told my Uber Eats driver they were still working on it 30m after I ordered and they accepted it. Then 45m in they told her they never got it. But then they just closed for the night and didnt cancel it, so new Uber Eats drivers kept taking the order and I felt bad so I kept messaging of the drivers since the restaurant left us all hanging. And there was no way no for me to even tip the drivers for their time. Boooo Umami Burger lol. UPDATE: Corporate sent me a gift card and I went in to use it and the person said "I've never even seen this, we don't even take these." She tried to scan it a couple times and it didn't even work. So my impression is this whole company is cr@p.
