If I could give Braidiology negative 5 stars I would. Read why below: This "business" could be shut down solely based on their customer service and professionalism alone! I booked an appointment and was texted one hour prior to the time and was told the stylist was the only stylist available and that she had called in to work. I was rescheduled for an appointment a few days later and arrived way earlier (more than an hour) than my appointment time. My appointment time came and passed and not one person on the staff said "be right with you, please wait, etc). About half an hour passed my appointment time I asked if my stylist was there. The owner (or lead person) had not even told the stylist I was her next appointment. Mind you, the stylist that was due to do my hair was already working on someone else's hair and it looked horrible, so I wasn't comfortable with her doing my hair at that point. I asked for a refund of my deposit. The lead lady said she'd refund me. It had been 2 weeks and I hadn't received it so I called and she was not available. I left messages and text for 3-4 days straight. I finally got a text saying refunds usually take 3-6 weeks and was advised to call my banking institution. Side note [Is it just me or do refunds usually take 3-10 business days?] It has now been 8 weeks and still....no refund. This business is not functioning as one that serves the community at all. They are rude, they gossip and talk bad about the customers they claim to "value", they dance, giggle and do inappropriate dances while customers are in the salon. It's simply terrible business for Modesto, and any other city they would choose to frequent. I am very disappointed in this business and advise you to NOT go there if you want quality work and professionalism. Take your monies elsewhere where you won't be lied to and treated like your consumer dollars matter.

Over eight hours for large box braids... really?! First, I was quoted a price of 150 for medium box braids and 40 for take down and wash. Instead my step-daughter got large braids (not what was asked for.) Large braids are supposed to take less time but instead it look all day. They are slow and dishonest with there pricing. We will never go back. Go here at your own risk....

Finally there's something AMAZING in Modesto.... I LOVE THIS PLACE.... Central Valley was FULL of nothing but kitchen beauticians until this place popped up... Now I dont have to deal with unprofessional stylist, their screaming kids or dirty homes.... This is the only place I will ever let touch my hair from now on. The Braidiology staff is WONDERFUL and make you feel very comfortable. They're a braidery so they don't cut or color but if thats what you want there are PLENTY of over priced salons to choose from... This place is for people with style who want to SLAY IN THE BAY!!!! They do ALL KINDS of braids, dreads and sewins. The even help you choose a style thats right for you and your budget, I always leave happy and transformed. If you get a chance, definitely check them out. You cant beat the prices and overall great experience that this shop offers.... BRAIDIOLOGY IS A BLESSING!!!!
