I sort of forgot about this place, had not been in a number of years. I am happy to report though that the food is still very good. The stand out was the Peruvian empanadas. Absolutely perfect super crisp flaky flavorful shell, you could probably put dirt inside of them and they would taste amazing. Luckily though there was a very tasty filling so have no fear. Very good Mezcal selection as well, and they do a good job with the quality and variety of the cocktails. Overall a bit on the pricey side that being said it seems impossible to go out anywhere decent these days in SC with two people and not spend at least $100. Definitely coming back.

This was my first visit to the Haute Enchilada, which is highly regarded in the area.  I was both thrilled by the place and the food, and at the same time disappointed, almost offended, by the tiny serving sizes and the high prices.The Haute Enchilada is on the main drag of the tiny town of Moss Landing.  It is funky and bohemian and definitely different.  A visual treat and kids love the visual distractions!I ordered fish tacos, featuring 3 pieces of rock cod (about 2 ounces each) on 3 small soft corn tacos, and, like the other plates served to our party of 5, it was absolutely scrumptious.  $35.We all had drinks as well, bringing our tab for 5 meals to a knee shaking $320.  That would be high almost anywhere, though on the Monterey Peninsula, 20 minutes to the south, you can easily spend that much per person for a full meal with mixed drinks.  ... But every single one of us were disappointed in the size of the servings.  The $35 scallops my wife ordered (scrumptious) came with three medium sized scallops on hard shells (pretty, but you can't eat them), and a side plate of beans and rice (not bad but not scrumptious and not big... about 3 ounces of scallops and 4 ounces of rice and beans.  The same with the Empanadas - delicious but tiny.Will we go back?  probably.  but we will not order drinks and we will watch the prices of what we order.

This place was recommended by some friends. I am floored with how delicious the food here is. Not only is it incredible crafted flavor-wise, but its also physically beautiful. If you ever get the chance to come here, do.

It was the perfect way to end a day of adventures. We ordered everything that seemed delicious and it was! Plus, there was a dog that kept coming out to say hi. Food : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Atmosphere : 5/5 More

Nice cafe with beautiful garden. Great foods and service. Will come back again.
