Most authentic German food I have ever had in the entire U.S. I travel around a lot on business and eat in many restaurants. This place is one of my favorites. I have eaten there probably more than 10 times by now. Its time i leave a review. I tried pretty much every dish on the menu, with the exception of the Weiss-wurst. My favorites include the authentic traditional veal Schnitzel, which is are crisp outside and tender inside. The brat platter has 4 different brats each of them mouthwatering delicious. The ham hock is my absolute favorite. You can't get this anywhere else. For desserts I had their freshly-baked apple strudel, and the German Chocolate cake. Both really good. Prices are fair. Most meals are under $20. Beer selection is vast, with many authentic German beers on draft. My favorite is the Grapefruit lager. Half a liter stein (which is a lot and i was never able to finish it) is $9. Compared to a glass of wine (6 oz) in a comparable restaurant in this neighborhood, the wine is often more expensive. I'm happy there is a place for families, that is fun to go to (the polka band is amazing), is reasonably priced, and has really good food. The service is attentive and prompt, every time I went. I have nothing but good things to say about the Edelweiss German Bierhaus, and will be back this weekend.
