Always hectic
Lots of carts moving. Always many and varied folks, quite a pleasure. The harried checkers always have a smile. Met a crazy woman once, told me there were killer robots there. I looked with the old dear a minute, and we agreed they were not near the ice cream. I got my cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches, went outside and fried a pedestrian with my laser eyes and ate him, bike and all. May need Wesson oil next so my joints don't creak when I'm sneaking up behind you.
I like the honest, tattered ambience- "we're a grocery store, not a chic, trendy, pretentious shoppe."

Staff is nice and helpful, mostly. Prices are excellent on most things . Produce looks good but the plums i bought had no flavor. BIG +++++++ They have bathrooms for the public!!!!!!! Theyre kinda rundown but basically clean and well stocked. This is my GO TO store for all the necessities since the WEST OAKLAND 99 cents store left us high and dry. Its close enough to bike to but lacks the charm and SEASONAL HOLIDAY DECORATIONS section that we all loved!! Otherwise good place to buy affordable food

Not enough cashiers, long lines. Mine was confrontational with me and the 2 customers ahead of me. For reasons like not pushing the right button on the credit card terminal fast enough etc.

They stay open late and I frequently stop by on my way home from work. Their produce selection isn't extensive, but they have good sales on a few items each week. Low prices and good selection of dried/canned/frozen foods. The workers here are also really nice.
