Tillie Gort's Café

I love this sort of place, healthy and wholesome food and eclectic decor. It's charming from the outside and just as charming inside. I was starving to death but wanted something healthy so I found this spot on Yelp and my long-suffering husband sat with me at the table while I ate until he could go get pizza down the street. Haha. I ordered a salad and soup sandwich combo and everything was so delicious and fresh! I didn't feel guilty at all about my meal and I saw several items I could choose from the menu so I could visit again and again. Note: My visit was in 2019 so I'm not sure if they're open during COVID.

The place was catchy at first with all my favorite words like Organic cousine, vegan cake and meals. In really there are just finishing for this clientele, but they don't know what it means to be Organic/vegan I'd be surprised if they were truly organic. The menu in vegetarian section they used eggs. My vegan dish was just plain un-spiced, un-salted black bean. Organic, vegan or vegetarian does not mean bland. Worse of all I had a baby cockroach onder my coffee mug I will never be back 🤮

Popular with the locals. Been around since 1969. Very healthy and tasty. Get the mushroom bruschetta! They are known for vegan and vegetarian dishes, but as a carnivore, I find plenty of awesome options. You will have a tough time choosing from the large menu, but there are no bad choices.
