Yes, it's truly closed and 240 pieces of the collection went to the Collings Foundation. I visited many times and saw the Panther in stages, from empty hull to completed tank, awesome craftsmanship. The restoration shop was just as amazing as the three exhibit buildings.

I believe that place is now closed, since the collection of vehicles has been sold at auction. They were organizing tours of the extensive collection of tanks on select dates, with a tour guide explaining the history of the vehicle's design and origins, and the history of the actual one they had on display (exchanged, sold, found in a swamp...). That place was amazing in size of quality of the exhibits, some of them restored so well that they looked like they just rolled from the assembly lines. It was a shame that you could not roam around after the tour was over.
