A beautiful & dreamy place in Riverside! We didn't stay overnight here but my husband's friend did for his wedding anniversary. My mother-in-law has been to this hotel's famous spa place and absolutely loved it. Us three had a nice drink at the bar & some nice conversations. Loved the decor & ambience!

We were in Riverside and wanted to experience this gorgeous, historical resort. When I booked I asked if the price included all the fees and was told it did. Very disappointed with the dishonesty. At checkout there were approximately another $80 of hidden fees added to our two night stay. Hotel self parking was another $54 and was two blocks from the entrance. We paid for a deluxe but the room was small and plain and didn't have the courtyard view promised. The outside street noise kept us awake most of the evening. Most of the staff was very friendly, except our waitress, who was about as cold as the food she served us. I would have given a one except the facility is gorgeous and impressive.

This is a beautiful historic hotel, with that being said, please keep that in mind when booking. My husband and I stayed here this weekend for our wedding anniversary. The staff is friendly however, the person that answered the phone the night we arrived, was not very informative. It was a girl I did not get her name when asked if there was parking on site, we were instructed to go to the parking garage. We were not told that they had valet. As the parking garage is a bit of a distance away from the hotel, the eight dollars difference is not that much money from the valet. We found the valet the next day so we move the car. The room was not quite as it is described from the website. I expected a patio When we arrived to our room, very cute and historic as to be expected, the patio was considered a walkway, a balcony outside the front door call to the front desk to ask if there was any rooms with a balcony and was informed not really that the pictures can be a bit deceiving, and the rooms that have fireplaces there are only 2 rooms that are Working, Was offered another room, but the view would've been of the museum street side. We did have a nice view overlooking the open patio down below. While there was just the two of us in this room. The hot water in the shower does not produce enough hot water for two people. The first night my husband was able to take a hot shower. I took a lukewarm shower the next day just enough for one person to take a hot shower and the water ran cold, though the building is historic you could update and make sure that the guest have running hot water 2 guest should not run out of hot water. The bed was highly uncomfortable but I'm sure there are those that would differ as that is based on preference. That being said service staff was very professional and friendly. The restaurant Las Campanas was delicious. Overall it was a beautiful hotel I would just not recommend staying the night or prepare yourself if you expect a 4 star rating that is not the case here.

This is a perfect place for a romantic getaway for locals and tourists. You feel like youre in another world! We spent an hour just exploring the hotel grounds and enjoying the art and history. Check in and parking was easy and Mission Inn Resteraunt was delicious. The deluxe room was simple yet luxurious. It is a historic hotel and they did an amazing job preserving the rustic charm while having modern touches. Because it is an older hotel, the sink would take awhile to drain and I prefer black out curtains but it wasnt a deal breaker. I recommend visiting during off season for more intimacy.
