Brick Oven Pizza

Went in for lunch and the place was deserted. That should have been my first clue that the experience was going to be sub-par. I had the lunch special which included a 6" mini pizza, salad, and a soda. I started off at the salad bar that had seen better days. Very few items to choose from....missing were basics like tomato, cucumber, onions, crutons...so I settled on the lettuce, old old mushrooms, olives (pizza toppings salad bar?) cheese, and some ranch. The mushrooms were a bit sour....I was so hungry, I ate them at the risk of landing in the ER. The pizza was pepperoni and mushroom (before I knew about the salad bar mushrooms) and it was basically terrible. The crust had to be pre-fab or pre-cooked because it was done well while the rest of the pizza was undercooked. The sauce was cheap tasting and the mushrooms were the same from the salad bar. I estimate 5 to 10 days old by the look of them. The cheese and pepperoni were its only saving grace. I can only imagine they only manage to stay open because of the bar.
