Alister Photography

I just want to take a moment to reflect on my experience with Alister. First of all, I was looking for a professional/casual headshot and photoshoot-something that I can have for almost any occasion. I thought this would be a hard task, but Alister made it happen. I was comfortable with him from the first minute, and he was able to guide me into the perfect light, stance, or environment without compromising my natural appearance, or the way I actually come across in real life. And when the final images came through-this is the part where I was truly SPEECHLESS. His skills are SUPERB without a doubt- to say that I am glad that I chose his photography services out of all is a shallow understatement. Alister is talented-he is definitely in the right niche, so to speak. I was so pleased, I had to look twice to make sure it was me-everything was perfect. From the lighting to the colors-I definitely had my perfect SHOTS-see that’s the other part. Choosing was really hard, and let’s be honest, when is choosing hard when it comes to photos? While usually it’s easy to find the best ones, here I couldn’t choose to save my life-he really made my eyes speak! The photos looked so alive-I cannot get over how much movement he put into them, which I absolutely adore. I didn’t feel like I was in a studio-he really gives an “at ease” feeling that relaxed me to the core to get my best shots. I came in expecting a 4 out of 5, and I came out with a 30 out of 5-thank you so much Alister!

We hired Alister for our wedding and he did an excellent job and gave us exactly what we wanted. He was always extremely responsive, easy to work with, and listened to our requests. We asked for more candid pictures for our small Sonoma County wedding than posed pictures and he delivered amazing shots that we will cherish forever. His portrait set up in addition to the shots of the wedding itself captured our loved ones in ways we couldn't have imagined. We loved the entire experience!

Alister is Amazing! Years ago for my anniversary my husband surprised me with an original piece from his Charlie Chaplin series. We hung it up in our living room and since then we have continued to get many comments on it. WE both are big fans of his work. Then we started to notice his photography work with weddings, second Saturday events and we were just as impressed. We both volunteered to participate in his second Saturday photography event and I ADORE my husbands pictures! He really caught his personality and Alister did it with such ease. It is a great picture for me to refer back to when my husband ticks me off! We love his work so much he will be doing our family photos this year! Why? Because we know he will catch or unique families personalities and it will be a picture that can hang up on our wall forever without it getting "old/tacky" or becoming one of those facebook funny photos we see passed around or on a greeting card.
